MCH is the advanced Post Graduate Academic degree which is awarded for the program in the field of surgery. One can acquire greater specialisation in the surgical field with this course. The exam is held after you complete your postgraduate degree. The course requires 3 years of rigorous hard work from you in the form of training, studying, mastering the theoretical aspects, practical works and the surgical sub specialty degree only then Mch is awarded. The degree is considered equivalent to the training of fellowship offered in the US. It is similar to PhD in India. The examination includes 6 academic terms and is equivalent to the M.S and M.D of advanced level.

It offers the doctors an advanced degree in surgery. The practical paper comprises of conducting special investigative techniques for the therapy and diagnosis.
